Media personality Toke Makinwa has opened up about the hurtful remarks she endured from trolls during her struggles with infertility and singlehood, as she flaunts her baby bump.
The 39-year-old, who recently announced her pregnancy, revealed via Instagram stories that the criticism was most painful during her years as a single woman approaching 40 without a child and after experiencing two failed IVF procedures.
One of the trolling comments she shared read: “Baby girl, this is why you have tried IVF 2 times and none has worked. This is why you have snatched so many of your girlfriends’ men and none has stuck by you; this consistent need to be a classist and a bully while you come from a low class yourself and understand the struggle.”

Toke, however, clarified her reason for posting the remarks, explaining that it was not to amplify negativity but to give glory to God for answering her prayers.
“Shared that not to highlight negativity but to bask in the goodness of God and I hope anyone struggling can find the strength to believe that God has the final say,” she wrote.
