Nigerian TikToker, Olaoluwa Segun, known as Olas, recounts his experience in Yaba Panti cell.
It would be recalled that the TikToker made headlines in July 2025 after falsely alleging Dayo Amusa was among Nigerian celebrities living with HIV.
Dayo Amusa Breaks Silence On HIV Status
However, Dayo Amusa refuted the claim, revealing she shared her HIV-negative status in a 2019 post to raise awareness about HIV testing and education.
Furthermore, the actress threatened legal action against the TikToker, vowing to make him a scapegoat to serve as a warning to others.
TikToker Recounts Experience In Yaba Panti
TikToker Olas revealed he spent two days in detention over his false claim about Dayo Amusa’s HIV status.
In a video posted to his TikTok account, he described the harsh conditions in the cell, which had 60 inmates, lacked basic amenities, and featured four pit latrines with no doors. Inmates slept on cold tiles, while cell leaders had bunk beds.
Fortunately, one of the cell leaders recognized him from TikTok and offered him protection, assigning him a bunk.
Olas also shared how new inmates were treated upon arrival.
He expressed relief that Dayo Amusa forgave him, stating, “I want to thank Aunty Dayo Amusa for forgiving me. If not that she changed her mind, I would have been there for a long time”.
