Controversial critic, Verydarkman has reacted to the ongoing controversy surrounding Grammy award‑winning artist, Dami Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy.
It’s worth noting that Burna Boy has come under intense scrutiny online after asking a female fan to leave his recent concert in the United States.
The controversy erupted when he stopped the show to have a sleeping fan escorted out, sparking a wave of backlash and boycotts.
Verydarkman Reacts to Burna Boy Boycott Calls
In a video posted to his YouTube channel which has garned over 45,000 views, Verydarkman shared a clip of individuals demanding a boycott of Burna Boy, claiming the footage was a re‑edited clip from the 2020 End‑SARS protest.
According to Verydarkman, the protest was held in Abuja, and he further addressed rumors about the female fan who was escorted out of Burna Boy’s show, addressing the incident.
According to the evidence posted by Verydarkman, the Instagram account that made the post has changed its username six times and was created in July 2022.
Additionally, Verydarkman addressed a claim by an X user, @honest30bgfan, who claimed Burna Boy lost over 100,000 Instagram followers, and shared evidence that contradicts the claim.
He dug up an old video from the same X account showing fans’ “absence” at Burna Boy’s Coachella performance and noted that artists perform only at night, suggesting the clip was taken when Burna Boy wasn’t even at the event
