A Nigerian lady has been gifted $2,000 by Tems’ manager for having “a lot of sense” in a comment under the singer’s viral post on X.
The incident unfolded on X (formerly Twitter) after Tems addressed ongoing conversations about her body, particularly remarks about her backside.

In her post, the Grammy-winning singer wrote: “Okay, 7 years in. It’s time to pack it up. I never thought I’d need to say it but you are all weird. ‘It’s small, it’s flat, it’s fat.’ Dog, IT’S MINE. ‘Show us your bumbum’ lol so me too I will turn and say ‘see🥰’ Nah show ME yours first?? See how that feels? It’s just a body. I will add and lose weight. I never once hid my body, I just didn’t feel the need to prove or disprove anyone. The more you don’t like my body the better for me actually. But it’s enough now. Move on from my bum.”
This came after a user commented: “Real one knows she just have big laps not actual ass.”
Tems’ post sparked mixed reactions, prompting her manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi—known on X as @IAmDonawon—to respond: “No single sense do they have on this app. Not even half a sense.”
A different user then criticized his response, writing: “Na only one person tweet about her bum but na everybody on the app no get sense. Igbati kee you dia omo werey.”
The user argued that only one person made the comment, so there was no need to generalize the entire platform.
In support of Awoniyi, a lady identified as @chidimmaibe replied: “It’s not only 1 person. That’s just the person they used as example. There are many more ignorant foolish tweets about it.”
Impressed by her clarity and defense, Awoniyi asked for her account number and sent her a $2,000 cash gift, praising her for having “a lot of sense.”
