Afrobeats singer, Folarin Odunlami, popularly known as Fola, has revealed that his Lagos journey started on a shocking note.
In an interview with The Beat 99.9FM, the Alone hitmaker said he was arrested the very first day he arrived in Lagos in 2018.
“Bro, this is funny. The first day I got to Lagos, I was arrested. I slept at a police station. I almost gave up,” he said
Fola admitted that life in Lagos was rough at the beginning, but with resilience, he was able to adjust to the city’s hustle.
Now signed to Bella Shmurda‘s Dagbani Republik, Fola has gone on to work with top stars including Wizkid and Kizz Daniel, proving that Lagos stress couldn’t kill his shine.
