Nigerian singer 9ice opines that foreign religions and prayers have not significantly contributed to Nigeria’s development.
Speaking at a recent event covered by Gold Myne TV, the artiste questioned the effectiveness of continuous calls for prayers by Christians and Muslims, especially in light of the country’s ongoing security and economic challenges.

According to him, despite years of religious devotion, there has been little visible progress.
Describing himself as a heathen, 9ice also criticized Nigerians for heavily embracing religions such as Christianity and Islam, which he described as foreign.
He argued that the strong religious culture in Nigeria has not translated into national growth or improved living conditions.
The singer further compared Nigeria to countries like the United Kingdom, noting that societies with lower levels of religious adherence appear to experience greater prosperity.
“You will leave Nigeria and go to Mecca to go and lick rock all in the name of Kabba. Ever since you have been calling on Allah and Jesus, this country hasn’t gotten any better. If you go to London, nobody goes to church there yet they are better than Nigeria.
“They go to work on Sundays but Nigerians go to church. A lot of Nigerians spend most their time in church in the name of weekly services. They pray over everything, including things to should fix themselves,” he said.
