Nigerian singer and record label owner, Portable, has turned down a ₦120 million offer to participate in a boxing match against social media activist, VeryDarkMan, insisting he will only enter the ring for ₦1 billion.
This was made known in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), where Portable claimed that ₦100 million or ₦20 million is too little for someone of his status, stating that his fans regularly gift him such amounts.
In his words:
“I don collect money wey pass ₦20 million, my fans dey give me. The ₦100 million my fans dey give me. ₦100 million small for me to fight VeryDarkMan, make them give me ₦1 billion.”
“If I see someone who’ll give me ₦1 billion, I’ll fight him. I’ll beat him totally. Before I use juju on him, I’ll fight him.”
Portable also mocked those who suggested the match, saying they fear VeryDarkMan themselves.
His comments follow a recent proposal by talent manager Soso Soberekon, who pledged ₦120 million for a boxing bout between the two offering ₦100 million to the winner and ₦20 million to the loser.
The video has since sparked massive reactions online, with fans flooding the comment section to weigh in.
