News of his passing was reported to have been confirmed by his eldest son, Emma Ejeagha

Mike Ejeagha was widely acclaimed for his exceptional ability to weave Igbo folklore and proverbs into engaging musical stories that both informed and delighted audiences across generations.

His distinctive approach to musical storytelling made a significant impact on Nigerian radio in the 1980s, securing him a respected legacy in the nation’s cultural heritage.

It would be recalled that his song, in 2024, was transformed into a dance challenge “Gwo Gwo Gwo” by the skit maker, Brain Jotter.
