Big Brother Naija star, Mercy Eke, has joined the global wave of reactions to news that American rapper Cardi B is expecting her first child with her new partner, NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
On Wednesday, the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker, who is preparing for the release of her sophomore album, confirmed the pregnancy during an interview on CBS Mornings.
The 32-year-old revealed that she has yet to inform her parents because she is scared of their reaction.
The news shocked many fans, as it came barely months after Cardi welcomed her third child with her estranged husband, Offset. The pair, who are still battling through divorce proceedings, share three children: Kulture, Wave, and Blossom. Cardi B has reportedly been dating Stefon Diggs for less than a year.
Mercy Eke shares Libra-inspired reaction
Reacting via her Snapchat page, Mercy Eke reflected on the zodiac sign she shares with Cardi, justifying the pregnancy as a state of moving on.
According to her, Libras are forgiving, patient, and often endure a lot in relationships. However, once they decide they are done, there is no going back.
“One thing about a Libra, we’re deeply loving & endlessly patient. We endure the most, often apologising even when we’re right, not out of weakness, but out of love. We give countless chances, but once a Libra woman is truly fine, there’s no turning back,” she wrote.

In a follow-up post, Mercy expressed her joy for the American rapper, noting that everyone deserves to find happiness.
