Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has opened up about her past struggles, revealing details about what she described as her “dark days” following her newfound salvation.
Speaking during a gospel ministration in Tanzania, the actress reflected on her journey, disclosing that she once battled confusion while searching for direction in life.

According to her, this search led her into unhealthy practices and choices she now deeply regrets.
“In the midst of trying to navigate life, I’ve dipped my hands in so much filth and dirt. I’ve joined a cult, I’ve worked with a demon so hard. I know who he is, and I know that he doesn’t have anything for me anymore. Today God said, ‘I’ll take you back and clean you up. I’ll put you on altars to preach my gospel,’” she said.
Tonto revealed that she eventually reached a turning point after experiencing what she described as a divine call from God, which led her back to her faith.
In a follow-up Instagram post, the mother of one shared what she described as her first assignment from God, which was to clean His house.
She admitted questioning the instruction, noting that she already had staff responsible for maintaining her home.
However, she explained that God made her understand the assignment was meant to launch her into His glory and cleanse her from the inside out.
Late last year, Tonto also revealed that she had rededicated her life to Christ, marking a turning point in her spiritual journey.
She further urged the public to now address her as Evangelist Tonto Dikeh, rather than “King,” reflecting her renewed focus on faith.
