“I took a N5m loan to chase my BBNaija dream and lost everything” — BBNaija’s Faith Adewale

Before the fame and chaos of the Big Brother house, Faith Adewale was a young doctor wrestling with frustration about life in Nigeria.

Returning home in December 2024, he found himself questioning his purpose and future. That frustration would soon push him into a life-changing decision.

According to Faith, his unexpected journey began with a single text message. “One click on that link and everything changed,” he said, describing how he stumbled upon the Big Brother Naija audition form. By March 2025, he had set his mind on chasing the biggest reality TV dream in Africa.

Determined to make it into the house, Faith said he took a massive risk, borrowing N5 million to fund his preparation. “I did the unthinkable to get in there,” he admitted. It was a gamble that would cost him dearly but also redefine his path.

The price Of fame: struggles, regrets amd mental health battles

Faith’s time in the Big Brother house was far from smooth. Known for his fiery temper and emotional outbursts, he was eventually disqualified for physical assault during the “10/10” edition. But behind the drama was a young man battling isolation and pressure.

I wasn’t perfect. I made a lot of mistakes. I screamed, I argued, I broke things,” he confessed. He revealed that he had repeatedly requested therapy during the show, admitting, “I asked for a therapist over three times because I knew I needed help.”

Despite the emotional toll, Faith said he grew stronger through the experience. His reflection showed a mix of humility and resilience, as he owned up to his faults while acknowledging the lessons learned from his mistakes.

Rising again: gratitude, renewal, and a promise to fans

For Faith, leaving the show wasn’t the end, it was a rebirth. “Faith is dead,” he began in his viral YouTube video, “but before he passed on, he wanted to tell you stories that meant the world to him.” That line marked the start of his reinvention.

He expressed deep gratitude to fans who supported him despite his flaws. “They didn’t see a perfect man. They saw Faith,  the little kid that had flaws, passion, and purpose,” he said, crediting their love for helping him rebuild his confidence.

Now 25, the former housemate says he’s ready to embrace a new chapter. “I feel invigorated. I’m so excited to take on the world,” Faith declared. His message to his fans was simple but powerful, “I’m ready to make magic with you. Let’s go make history.”
