Former Guinness World Record (GWR) holder for marathon cooking, Hilda Baci, is set to prepare 250 bags of rice in an attempt to break the record for the largest jollof pot.
She revealed the plan on Monday through a viral video posted on her Instagram page.

Detailing the size of the project, Hilda noted that the cooking will be done in a pot with a capacity of 22,619 litres.
Speaking about the preparation, she said, “I’m making the executive decision to cook 250 bags of basmati rice. The pot is 6 meters wide by 6 meters wide, 1.1 meters tall, and about 1.3 meters deep. I’m sure the pot is not going to sink.”
The event, scheduled for September 12, 2025, is expected to serve 10,000 people.
This comes two years after Hilda Baci achieved the record for the longest individual cooking marathon, lasting 93 hours and 11 minutes.
