Nollywood actress, Ashabi Simple, has accused Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, of taking advantage of her younger age during their relationship.
Speaking during an interview on Oyinmomo TV on YouTube, Ashabi revealed that she would not have entered into the relationship if Portable had not promised to marry her.

According to her, the singer met her when she was much younger and used that opportunity to get close to her emotionally.
“Portable chanced me. He saw me at my younger age and took advantage of it. He used to be a caring person,” she said.
Ashabi also spoke about Portable’s family life, noting that the singer already has 10 children at the age of 32, with her child being one of them.
Despite their fallout, the actress acknowledged that Portable played a role in boosting her career and supported her during the early stages of her journey in the entertainment industry.
She described him as caring at the time, even though his lifestyle and public controversies often attracted criticism.
Ashabi confirmed that they are no longer together, explaining that she decided to step away to test her independence and see if she could succeed on her own without relying on him.
When asked if she would consider returning to the singer, she avoided giving a direct answer, leaving the possibility open.
The actress also revealed that she is open to a polygamous marriage in the future, explaining that the nature of her job may not allow her to always be physically present for her husband.
Her revelations have sparked mixed reactions online.
One social media user wrote, “Portable didn’t force her. She also made a choice. We shouldn’t remove accountability.” Another added, “At least she admitted he helped her career. Life is never black and white.”
