For his Bittersweet Tour initiative, Gunna has teamed up with Live Nation and the Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) to support his non-profit organization Gunnas Great Giveaway. To improve these neighborhoods and change the city’s economic climate he will donate $1 from each ticket purchased during the tour to the Atlanta Georgia inner cities.

His songs Wunna (2020) and DS4Ever (2022) the latter of which produced the platinum-certified internet smash Pushin P featuring Young Thug and Future have yielded two consecutive #1 debuts on the Billboard 200.

Georgias RICO Act was used to indict Gunna Young Thug and twenty-six other individuals in May of 2022. The two were accused of leading Young Slime Life or YSL for short a branch of the Bloods street gang according to the 88-page indictment.

Those listed in the indictment according to the prosecution have been involved in violent crimes in the city since 2012. In exchange for his Alford plea which allowed him to maintain his innocence while admitting the evidence against him would probably result in a conviction, Gunna pleaded guilty to a charge in the RICO Act case and was released from the Fulton County Jail on December 14, 2022.
