Elon Musk’s estranged transgender daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, has opened up about her finances while speaking at the Teen Vogue 2025 Summit in Los Angeles.
Vivian speaks on independence
The 21-year-old revealed that she is now earning her own income after launching a modelling career earlier this year, insisting that people’s assumptions about her wealth are often misplaced.
“I’m financially independent. I’m making money now. Pre-Teen Vogue cover, no. People have a lot of assumptions, and you just kinda have to deal with that,” she said.
Clarifying misconceptions
Wilson, who graced the cover of Teen Vogue in March, noted that despite her public profile, she has never earned a dime from fame itself.
“I haven’t made any money from being famous at all. I have made zero dollars and zero cents. I do live in a lot of people’s heads rent-free, though,” she explained.
She added that while modelling has opened doors, she once considered Twitch streaming or even reality television as possible career paths, admitting reality TV remains her dream.
Life beyond Musk’s wealth
Earlier this month, Wilson also spoke to The Cut about managing her finances, clarifying that she lives with roommates to save money.
She pointed out that while her mother is wealthy and her father is a billionaire, she does not enjoy unlimited financial resources, stressing that she has no interest in being “super-rich” like Musk.
The young model, who made her runway debut in May at a RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars event, has since continued her career in drag performances and fashion shows, sharing her excitement with fans online.
