Her responsibilities included anything from grocery shopping to picking up the actress’s dry washing. After that, James interacted with her Hollywood representatives and managed her overall workflow.
Unfortunately, the assistant’s employment was unexpectedly terminated in 2015, just after Heard married Depp.

She testified in Depp’s defamation suit, in which he alleges Heard harmed his reputation with an op-ed published in 2018. During her three-year career with Heard, James stated she never saw him with injuries or observed any abuse.
Depp is described as a “perfect Southern gentleman” by James. Similarly, she described him as peaceful, shy, and quiet. Meanwhile, she stated that she worked as Heard’s assistant from 2012 to 2015 and claimed that the actress was violent.
Heard is accused of assaulting her own family, treating her sister like “a dog you kick” and leaving her mother “terrified” by her acts, according to James.

Katie James testified via taped video, accusing Heard of verbally abusing her when she worked for him.
Ex-assistant James was unpleasant and dismissive of her working conditions during her trial. She alleged that Heard paid her “very little” at $50,000 per year, which she thought was “insulting.” Heard allegedly believed she had the “right to spit in my face” when she requested a raise, according to James.
She was not, however, testifying in connection with an employment issue. She also claimed to have witnessed a “small conspiratorial” meeting at the Chateau Marmont, a luxury hotel in Los Angeles, in May 2014. Furthermore, she continued saying it was hard to describe but she thought they were going for some emergency.

That day, though, things were radically different. She recalls Heard describing her as being in a “very dysregulated condition” while walking the streets of New York.
