Nigerian singer and songwriter Davido has shared a nostalgic moment from his early days, recalling how he once ran errands for music stars Don Jazzy and D’Banj using his father’s Rolls Royce.
The revelation came in a video posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by user @AsakyGRN, showing Davido recounting the experience with a smile.
Speaking on how far he has come in his career, Davido reflected on an encounter that took place in Atlanta around 2008: “In Atlanta, 2007 or 2008 or 2009… In my father’s house, I was freestyling for Don Jazzy and D’Banj. He sent me to go and buy McDonald’s with my papa car — Rolls Royce,” he said.
The singer made several other comments in the video, reminiscing on his growth and rise in the music industry.
