Ciara, who arrived in Lagos on Thursday for the four-day Lagos Fashion Week 2025, said the city’s dynamism and evolving fashion scene inspired her.
Speaking during the closing gong ceremony at the Nigerian Exchange alongside Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ciara expressed excitement about the opportunity to highlight Lagos’ fashion and entrepreneurial spirit.
She said, “I will be using my platform to showcase the beauty of Lagos. My heart beats differently whenever I’m here. The city’s growth and creative energy are inspiring.”

He said Lagos Fashion Week reflected the city’s resilience and commitment to innovation.
“Our administration remains committed to supporting those pushing locally created brands to the global market,” Sanwo-Olu said, adding that Lagos symbolises Nigeria’s potential to lead Africa’s economic future.
Lagos fashion week marks 15th anniversary
The 2025 edition of Lagos Fashion Week marks 15 years of celebrating African creativity under the theme “In Full Bloom.”
The event runs from October 29 to November 2, 2025, bringing together designers, models, and creatives from across the continent.
Sanwo-Olu noted that the partnership between the Lagos State Government and the Nigerian Exchange would open global opportunities for fashion entrepreneurs.
