Big Brother captured viewers’ emotions on Monday afternoon as the show honours former housemates who have passed away.
During the tribute, Biggie assembled all the current housemates while images of the late reality stars were displayed on the screen, followed by a solemn minute of silence in their memory.
Since BBNaija began, three housemates have been lost: Francisca Owumi, Joseph Ada, and Rico Swavey.
Francisca Owumi – Runner-up of the first BBNaija season in 2006, she was celebrated for her lively spirit and unforgettable dance moves. She passed away in August 2024 after a brief illness.
Joseph “Joe” Ada – Also from the pioneer season (2006), he was remembered for his calm strength and unique presence. He died in May 2023 after an illness.
Rico Swavey (Patrick Fakoya) – A standout from the Double Wahala season (2018), he won hearts with his warmth and creativity. His untimely death in October 2022, following a car accident, left fans devastated.
