Apostle Suleman berates Nyesom Wike and Lieutenant Yerima over viral clash

Apostle Johnson Suleman has openly criticised Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and Lieutenant Yerima following their heated confrontation that went viral on social media.

It would be recalled that the FCT minister clashed with a naval officer over a land dispute in November.

Apostle Suleman criticizes the drama

Speaking during a church service, the cleric condemned both men for their conduct, describing the altercation as an embarrassing reflection of Nigeria’s deeper leadership and societal problems.

He criticised the lieutenant for acting above his rank, stressing that a naval officer should not speak to a police officer in such a demeaning manner.

Apostle Suleman also accused Wike of provoking the altercation, saying the minister’s approach contributed to the escalation. Despite expressing strong dislike for Wike, he insisted that personal bias should not justify defending wrongful behaviour.

He described the incident as a reflection of the Nigerian system, where both the oppressor and the oppressed exhibit the same tendencies.

He said …

“I don’t like the minister, I don’t like him. He behaves like a tout. I know him, he knows me. This is democracy if you see somebody wearing uniform you call his boss you don’t want to stand before him and tell somebody on uniform you are a f0-ol it takes a f0-ol to know a f0-ol. Now the fact that you hate a man, the fact that you don’t like a man does not mean you support what is wrong. How can you be talking? You are a navy. You are not even a full-blown soldier. A navy, you are telling a policeman, I’m talking. That guy is a bully. They should hold him. That guy is a bully. ‘I’m talking, police is talking’. I see policemen are under you. I just got disgusted. That’s a representation of Nigeria. He could not take the minister talking to him. He responded. But the police should take his nonsense. Have you seen Nigerians? That was just Nigeria. The oppressor and the oppressed is equally an oppressor.”
