Laila Harris Shot & Killed at High School Party, the 15-year-old girl who was shot and murdered over the weekend in Clayton County has been identified by police.
Laila Harris, a 15-year-old Marietta teen, lost her life at a high school party on Saturday night, according to Channel 2 Action News. According to police, after being asked to leave the party, the shooter returned with a companion and shot “several bullets into the building.”
At an occasion center off Citizens Parkway in Morrow, the incident took place. Harris appeared to have been hit in the crossfire, according to investigators, even though it’s unclear if she was the intended target. She was discovered dead next to the shop’s entrance.
The Macon Telegraph reports “hundreds of students” from several high schools in the metro Atlanta area. No other people were hurt.
During a subsequent news conference, police spokesman Julia Isaac said. “At this point, we’re looking for assistance from the public. Also, we’re asking for anyone to come forward that has any information in reference to this shooting.” “To bring Laila Harris to justice, we need your help.”
Also, no suspects have been identified as of Monday, and the matter is still being investigated.
