American rapper Blueface has been arrested again in Los Angeles after allegedly refusing to cooperate with law enforcement officers during an investigation that was later determined to have originated from a false emergency report.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, the rapper was taken into custody on Monday night in Santa Clarita and booked into the county jail on suspicion of delaying a police investigation. Authorities said deputies responded to an emergency call at approximately 7:43 p.m. reporting that a man was pointing a firearm at someone inside a business in Valencia, a neighbourhood of Santa Clarita.
Upon arriving at the location, officers detained several individuals, including Blueface. However, the rapper allegedly refused to comply with instructions from deputies, leading to his arrest. Further investigations revealed that the original emergency call was a swatting incident, a practice involving deliberately making a false emergency report to prompt an armed police response to a particular location.
The latest arrest adds to Blueface’s history of legal troubles. He is currently on probation after pleading guilty in connection with a 2022 shooting involving another man in Las Vegas. Despite his ongoing legal challenges, the rapper recently made headlines for a more positive development in his personal life after becoming engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Chrisean Rock.
