Nigerian gospel singer Victoria Orenze has criticised worshippers who use their phones to record videos during worship sessions.
In a video circulating online, the singer was seen warning people attempting to record her to put their phones away and focus on worshipping God.
“Don’t use your phone, I will send you far away from here. You don’t know how to respect God. Everything is about recording, yet you have nothing inside,” she said.
Orenze questioned why people were more concerned about capturing moments on their phones than participating in worship.
“Do you record yourself while making love? Go to the club and record,” she added.
