
A woman is accused of deliberately driving into her former boyfriend and his new girlfriend in a restaurant parking lot, k!lling her.
Dionisiah Kazuko Edwards-Carpeal is charged with m8rder and aggravated assault with a d3adly weapon in connection with the deadly incident which occurred on Monday, September 28, 2026 in San Antonio, Texas.
According to the arrest report, officers were called to the 9700 block of Data Point Drive after reports that someone driving a silver SUV had hit a person in a parking lot.
Officers found one victim with serious injuries. The arrest report says that person was taken to a hospital, where they later d!ed. A second person was also hit but survived.
Investigators said the surviving victim had dated Edwards-Carpeal for about six years.
He told investigators she repeatedly texted and called him after learning he was dating the woman who was k!lled.
The man said he and the woman were walking from a Wendy’s toward a nearby residence when Edwards-Carpeal drove slowly alongside them and called out to him.
A security guard approached the SUV and told her to leave them alone, according to the arrest report.
The man told investigators he heard the SUV’s tires screech, then saw Edwards-Carpeal accelerate and hit both victims. He said he was thrown onto the hood before falling to the ground, injuring his ankle and back.
A witness told investigators the woman was dragged underneath the SUV before a rear tire ran over her.
Two other witnesses described seeing the SUV swerve toward the victims before striking them.
One witness said the driver turned around, drove back toward the victims and looked out the driver’s-side window before leaving.
Investigators said video recorded by a witness supported those accounts.
Police traced the SUV’s license plate to Edwards-Carpeal, and the surviving victim identified her as the driver from a photograph, according to the arrest report.
Edwards-Carpeal is being held in the Bexar County Jail on a combined $400,000 bond.
