There was palpable tension in Uvwie, Delta State, after suspected political thugs attacked supporters of the National Democratic Congress NDC in Uvwie, Delta State.
Videos shared online showed the thugs brandishing weapons to attack the political group members. However, the NDC members put up a strong resistance as they chased the thugs away.
The NDC members were in the area to campaign for their candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
