Media personality, Diaryof9jagirl, has called out women who, according to her, only value their husbands because of what they provide for them.
She argued that some women stop loving, respecting or showing patience towards their husbands once the man can no longer meet their financial expectations.
“Some of you don’t love your husbands. You love the provision. The moment he can no longer provide, he’s no longer worthy of your love, patience or respect,” she wrote.
Diaryof9jagirl compared this to men who only value their wives based on their physical appearance or domestic responsibilities.
She added: “You’re no better than the man who only loves his wife while she’s young, beautiful and can cook.”
Her post has since sparked reactions from social media users, with some agreeing with her while others argued that financial responsibility in marriage should not automatically be placed solely on the man.
One user said the long-standing expectation that men must be the sole providers while women handle the home has contributed to problems within relationships.
Another appeared to reference a recent relationship controversy, arguing that a woman may have been right to question her husband’s spending habits after he reportedly took three luxury vacations within a short period while their children were still in school.
