An old video of Jarvis talking about having a court marriage so she could get half of her husband’s property in the event of a divorce has resurfaced online, triggering fresh controversy.
The viral clip emerged shortly after her court wedding to popular TikToker Peller, with many social media users revisiting the conversation and sharing mixed reactions.
In the video, Jarvis was having a conversation with another lady during a livestream when the discussion turned to marriage and the importance of a court wedding.
While the lady claimed that a court marriage could help a woman get half of her husband’s property if the marriage ended, Jarvis reacted with excitement and declared that she would definitely have a court wedding.
Their conversation went as follows:
Lady: “Once you come back and have your court marriage so that half of his property can be yours too.”
Jarvis: “Hey! Is that why they do court wedding?”
Lady: “Yes now.”
Jarvis: “I’m doing court wedding oooh.”
Lady: “You know, even if he leaves you, you are still okay. Depending on what you guys agree on. If you talk to him…”
Jarvis: “I quit hustling from today henceforth.”
Lady: “Please don’t hustle again, don’t try it.”
Jarvis: “Because free money is waiting for me soon.”
Lady: “When you do your court marriage, then now think of doing your white wedding…”
Jarvis: “Leave white, let’s focus on the court. So in the court, who is going to prepare the list, me or them?”
Lady: “You talk to your husband, tell him this is what and what I want, then he will now talk to the lawyer.”
