Former Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has shared the funny story behind former teammate Jamie Vardy’s long-running belief that a healing cream used on injured players came from a Nigerian witch doctor.

Speaking in an video posted on his official Instagram account, Ndidi explained that the so-called “juju cream” was nothing more than natural shea butter he usually brought back from Nigeria.

According to him, whenever teammates asked what it was, they jokingly told them it had come from a Nigerian witch doctor.

Ndidi said the club’s masseuses would use the shea butter to massage injured areas, but when they suggested using it on Vardy, the striker quickly declined.

Recalling the moment, Ndidi laughed, saying they told Vardy the cream came from a Nigerian witch doctor, but the former England international immediately replied, “No, no, no, I’m okay.”
