Police rescue abducted sister and nephews of ex-Power Minister, Bayo Adelabu

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, younger sister of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul. 

Two suspected k!dnappers were neutralised in a gun duel with police operatives during the rescue operation. Two firearms were recovered from the gang.

The victims were abducted around 7:30 am  in the Challenge area of Ibadan South West Local Government Area of the state on June 3, 2026 while their mum was on the way to drop them in school.

Police sources disclosed that sustained intelligence tracking and tactical pressure forced the kidnappers into a confrontation with operatives, leading to the successful rescue of the victims.
