A security guard has allegedly abducted his employer’s two children in Minna, Niger State.

The father of the children, businessman, Alhaji Danjuma, who resides in the Brighter Area of Minna, confirmed the incident to a journalist, Nuruddeen Isyaku Daza on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Speaking to Daza, Alhaji Danjuma explained that while he was away from home on Sunday, his security guard, took the two children away on a motorcycle he had bought for him, claiming that he was taking them out to celebrate the Eid festivities.

When evening came and they had not returned, the family began searching for them.

They visited hospitals across Minna, suspecting that the children might have been involved in an accident.

However, it later emerged that they were allegedly in the custody of kidnappers.

The businessman told Daza that later that evening, he received a phone call from individuals who claimed to be in the Erena forest area of Shiroro Local Government Area.

They informed him that his children were with them and demanded money for their release.

He is now appealing to the public to pray for him and his family during this difficult ordeal, hoping for a safe and quick resolution.
