Pregnant woman, nine others feared k!lled as bandits attack Katsina community

A pregnant woman and nine others have been k!lled by suspected bandits who attacked the grain market in Guga village, Bakori Local Government Area, Katsina State, on Sunday,May 17,

 According to reports, the bandits stormed the community in broad daylight and opened fire indiscriminately on traders and residents. They operated unhindered for several hours.

Residents said the victims were buried on Monday morning, May 18, in Guga village following a mass funeral held in the Gidan Sarkin Noma and Gidan Wawo communities, both located within Bakori LGA.

According to locals, many of the victims were farmers from neighbouring communities, including Gidan Sarkin Noma and Gidan Wawo, who had travelled to the market to sell their produce.

The state police is yet to comment on this development.
