Award-winning Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo has shared details of her visit to Alexx Ekubo’s wife following his passing.
Earlier, Gistreel reported that the actor passed away on May 11, 2026 at Evercare Hospital in Lagos.
Alexx Ekubo’s Passing
According to a statement from his family, the actor passed away from complications of advanced metastatic kidney cancer.
However, his funeral arrangements will be announced in due course as tributes and condolences continue to pour in from fans and industry colleagues.
Uche Jombo Recounts Visit To Late Actor’s Wife
In an Instagram post, Uche Jombo shared that during her visit, the actor’s wife spoke about him through tears and laughter.
Eventually, she left with a smile and expressed gratitude for his legacy lifetime.
“I thank God for your life, for your peace with him in the end. I’m sure you already know we got her. Love you and miss you ikuku”,She added.
Stanley Ontop Breaks Silence
Meanwhile, Stanley Ontop has broken silence on Alexx Ekubo’s passing, sharing further insights.
In an Instagram post, he claimed Alexx had been privately battling stage 4 liver cancer since 2024.
According to Ontop, Alexx underwent a liver transplant, briefly returned to work, but complications arose after the transplanted liver failed again.
