A paediatrician in Germany has been accused of abusing children while working at a hospital over a period spanning more than a decade.
The 46-year-old doctor, from Brandenburg, allegedly carried out the offences while employed at the Havelland Clinic in eastern Germany. According to reports by German outlet Bild, the medic allegedly abused children between December 2013 and his arrest in November 2025.
He is facing 130 charges linked to alleged s3x offences, including r@pe. The case reportedly came to light after the alleged abuse of a child at the clinic’s paediatric ward. The child’s mother is said to have filed a complaint against the doctor, prompting an investigation.
Following the complaint, detectives carried out searches and allegedly seized several hard drives said to contain incriminating material. Prosecutors are now investigating whether there may be additional victims connected to the case. Authorities reportedly detained the suspect due to concerns about the risk of reoffending.
In January, Havelland Clinic said it would review its safeguarding procedures following the allegations. The hospital stated that a policy requiring two staff members to be present during child examinations may have been breached, leading to an internal review of procedures.
