The Apo Six k!lling was so chilling that the-then President got involved.
Six young friends (five men and one woman) were k!lled by police officers in the Apo community of Abuja, Nigeria.
To explain away the extrajudicial k!lling, arms were planted on them and they were tagged armed robbers.
However, the truth can only stay hidden for so long.
The President at the time, Olusegun Obasanjo established a Panel of Inquiry in response to public outrage over the k!lling.
Obasanjo also apologized to the families of the victims and ordered the payment of compensation.
The Night of June 7th, coming this June, is inspired by this shocking incident in our country’s history.
