Gunmen kidnap prospective Corps member on his way to orientation camp, demand N10m ransom

A prospective corps member from Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Gift David Samiya, has been kidnapped on the Akwanga-Jos road.

 

His brother, Lawrence David, who confirmed the incident said Gift was kidnapped on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 while traveling to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp in Maiduguri, Borno State, from Lafia.

 

He added that the abductors have called a family member demanding N10 million ransom for his release.

 

The kidnap victim is a graduate of the University of Maiduguri.
