Several people, including rappers Pooh Shiesty and Big 30, have reportedly been arrested after rapper Gucci Mane was allegedly r0bbed and kidn@pped at a recording studio in Dallas earlier this year.

Rapper Pooh Shiesty, real name Lontrell D. Williams Jr., is among nine people accused of kidn@pping and r0bbing multiple victims at gunpoint at a Dallas music studio on January 10, including rapper Gucci Mane.

Pooh Shiesty was arrested this week after allegedly masterminding the robbery plot targeting his record label.

“On January 10th of this year, three musical industry professionals traveled to Dallas for a scheduled business meeting,” U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Ryan Raybould said at a news conference Thursday. “Lontrell Williams Jr. arranged this meeting, purportedly to discuss the terms of his recording contract with one of his victims.”

Raybould continued, “Once these three men were inside the recording studio, Williams Jr. and eight co-conspirators, several of whom traveled from Memphis, Tennessee, executed a coordinated armed takeover. As alleged, Williams Jr. produced an AK-style pistol and forced one of the victims to sign a release from the recording contract at gunpoint.”

Prosecutors say Pooh Shiesty’s co-conspirators stole Rolex watches, jewelry, cash, and other high-value items during the robbery.

Pooh Shiesty was released from federal prison in October 2025 after serving three years for firearms and drug charges, having been originally sentenced to 63 months.

Rodney Wright Jr., known as rapper Big30, allegedly blocked the door so the victims couldn’t leave the room.

The complaint states that within hours of the robbery, the defendants posted what appeared to be some of the stolen jewelry on social media.

All nine defendants are charged with kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.

If convicted, they could face a sentence of up to life in prison.

According to the Department of Justice, Pooh Shiesty was already on home confinement for a prior firearms conspiracy conviction out of the Southern District of Florida during the time of the alleged crime.
