“I can’t beg anymore” – Iyabo Ojo breaks silence on Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham rift following viral snub video

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has finally addressed the ongoing tension between Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, setting the record straight amid online speculations.

This follows a viral video showing Funke allegedly snubbing Toyin’s greeting at the premiere of her new movie, Arinzo.

Reacting to the backlash that trailed the incident, Iyabo revealed that she had previously played a major role in reconciling both actresses after their past disagreements.

“For those of you maligning my character, insulting me, and calling me unprintable names, this is for you. This is the first and last time I will speak on this. Funke and I have been friends for the longest, but there were times we fell out, fault on both sides. I once came online to drag Funke because of Toyin’s movie, that was wrong on my part,” she said.

She explained that after resolving her own issues with Funke, she went the extra mile to bring both actresses together, even begging them to embrace peace.

According to her, although both parties eventually reconciled and agreed to keep issues off social media, things took another turn during the December cinema period when fresh complaints surfaced.

“I tried my very best to settle both of them, I cried, knelt down, begged both parties to embrace peace. They agreed, but there was a condition that no one would shade online.

Unfortunately, in December, new complaints came up about movie sabotage, and fans started pointing fingers again. I have tried my best, but at this point, I can’t beg anyone anymore. I don’t want to get involved. When both parties are ready, they will make peace,” she added.

As the situation unfolds, Iyabo maintained that she loves both parties equally, stressing that she has done her part and is now stepping back from the matter.
