Super Falcons Defender Ashleigh Plumptre  undergoes successful surgery

Ashleigh Plumptre has successfully undergone surgery on a foot injury, her club Al-Ittihad Ladies have confirmed.The Super Falcons defender is expected to be sidelined for a few months as she recovers.This marks the second time the former Leicester City Women player will be out injured since joining Al-Ittihad.The 31-year-old previously suffered a serious injury in March 2024 shortly after a strong start to her debut season, during which she scored eight goals in 12 appearances.
