Gunmen k!dnap six health workers in Ondo

Suspected k!dnappers have abducted no fewer than six health workers during a midnight raid on a health centre in the Oke Ijebu area of Akure, the Ondo State capital.

 

According to Tribune, the gunmen got to the facility at about 2am on Saturday, March 28 in a bus, forcefully gained entry into the premises located opposite Mega School and rounded up all staff on duty. The assailants reportedly dragged the victims including interns into their waiting vehicle and sped off to an unknown destination.

 

Patients receiving treatment at the time of the attack were left behind unharmed, but visibly shaken by the incident.

 

The police is yet to comment on this development.
