A male bystander has been left with grievous injuries after he was crushed by a woman who fell from a city centre rooftop during a suspected su!cide attempt.
The woman plummeted from the rooftop of a 19-storey building in Melbourne CBD, a suburb of major Australian city in the state of Victoria, and onto the pedestrian as he reportedly smoked a cigarette below on March 5.
She was tragically k!lled instantly, but the impact of the fall left the man with critical injuries.
He was rushed to hospital following a speedy response from local paramedics, and reportedly remains in critical condition following the shock incident.
Neither the man nor woman involved in the incident have been identified, with police saying they are preparing a note for local coroners.
The man was transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and investigators have said the woman’s d£ath is not being treated as suspicious.
