Police launch investigation as several ladies suffer s3xual mol?station from men during what is being described as a ?r@p!ng festival? in Ozoro Delta state

Several ladies were sexu@lly molested by men who attacked them during what some have described as a ‘’r@ping festival’ in Ozoro, Delta state on Thursday, March 19.

 

According to reports, the community holds a festival in March every year in which ladies are barred from being seen in public and any lady who fails to remain indoors is molested by the men holding the festival. Videos shared online showed several young men running towards any lady they see on the road, ripping their clothes off and molesting them. Some of the ladies could be seen crying for help as the men molested them. It is alleged that some of the ladies were r@ped by the rampaging men. 

 

Confirming the incident to LIB, spokesperson of the state police command, SP Bright Edafe, said the police has begun arresting some of the defaulting men. He mentioned that the command will soon release a statement on the incident.
