A woman has called on Nigerians to pay more attention to national issues following another episode of fuel scarcity in the country.
In a video circulating online, she lamented that public discussions often shift to distractions instead of focusing on policies and decisions that affect citizens.
“Another episode of fuel scarcity. Nigerians focus on distractions instead of governmental issues. We need to start talking,” she said.
According to her, rising fuel costs and shortages affect far more than just drivers.
She explained that once fuel prices increase, it eventually impacts transportation, food prices and everyday services.
“It doesn’t only affect drivers or people who have cars. It will affect transport fares and the price of things like beans and rice,” she said.
She also urged Nigerians to speak up more about policies and bills that affect citizens rather than waiting for others to start the conversation.
“Do your part. The person with ten million followers today started with one follower. People believed in them because they spoke up,” she added.
