A family has announced the funeral of ten members who lost their lives in a motor accident while returning from Christmas celebrations
The victims, Chidi Ejimnkeonye, a Nigeria Customs Service officer, his wife, Ijeoma, their four children, and four other relatives, were involved in the accident along the Loko-Nasarawa road.
The family was traveling together from East to their base in Abuja when the tragedy occurred on January 6, 2026.
The loss has left the community in shock and mourning.
The funeral service will be held on March 20, 2026 in Ogboko, Idea to South Local Government Area of Imo State.
A family member, Mbuba Richy, shared the obituary in a Facebook post on Thursday, February 26.
“See my beloved brother CHIDI EJIMNKEONYE, a 3 star in Nigeria custom service and the family breadwinner whom d3ath stole from us on the 6th of January 2026 along with 9 others including his entire family (wife and kids) Nmuo Ala Ogboko I keep on asking why will this happen?My heart can’t stop been heavy over thisAru Mere oooooooo, ” he wrote.
