Boy, 10, hacked to de@th with machete by dad while mum fights for life

A ten-year-old boy has been hacked to de@th with a machete by his dad while the boy’s mum, who was also severely injured by the same weapon, is fighting for her life in hospital with severe wounds to her arms and legs. 

The shocking incident occured near a holiday hotspot and ended his father being shot de@d by police. 

The  Residents of Cabo Blanco, a small village near the popular holiday resort of Los Cristianos, Tenerife, have been left shocked and horrified by the tragedy. 

The child di£d earlier this morning, Feb. 20, after he was allegedly attacked by his dad with a machete inside a house. 

The Civil Guard were alerted to the incident at around 1am after officers were called about the presence of an armed person inside a home. 

When police arrived at the scene, there was a stand-off, ending with the alleged assailant, a 34-year-old man, attacking one of the Civil Guard officers with a machete. 

The man, described as “extremely violent,” was shot and k!lled by police instantly. 

The injured officer was taken to a hospital, where he remains and is due to undergo surgery. Initial reports say his life is not in danger. 

Arona Local Police worked alongside the Civil Guard, attending to the woman and applying a tourniquet due to the severity of her injuries. 

The mayor of Arona, Fátima Lemes, in her first statement to Canarias Radio, confirmed the event and explained that authorities received several calls alerting them to the presence of an armed person in the house. Once the agents searched the property, they found the boy’s lifeless body. 

The injured officer was taken to a hospital, where he remains and is due to undergo surgery. Initial reports say his life is not in danger.
