2027 Election: “I will work against Peter Obi”

Celebrity barman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has openly declared that he will not support Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential election.

The nightlife entrepreneur made this known during an exchange with followers on Instagram, where he confirmed plans to work against the former Anambra State governor’s anticipated bid.

The controversy began after an Instagram user asked him directly about his political stance ahead of the next general election, questioning whether he was actively opposing Obi despite previously working with him.

Reacting to the comment, Cubana Chief Priest wrote:

“Yes oh, hope say no be crime cuz I worked for Obi last election even as special adviser to an APC governor.”

His response quickly triggered mixed reactions online. While some users accused him of political inconsistency, others referenced his past encounter with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), questioning his credibility.

Addressing criticism about the EFCC, he brushed it off, stating: “If you never go to the EFCC for Naija, you never make it.”

The heated exchange further shifted to conversations about Biafra and political support from the South-East region.

Cubana urged individuals to support any candidate of their choice but challenged critics to reflect on their own contributions to regional development.

“Go and support who you want to support. As you like Biafra, how many developments have you done for the South East?”

As political discussions continue to build momentum, his comments have added another layer to the growing conversations surrounding Nigeria’s next presidential race.
