Popular on-air personality, Dotun, has reacted to the recent reconciliation between Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh and her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill.
Reacting to Tonto’s forgiveness message, Dotun stated that, in his view, Tonto is not the victim in the situation, despite the public display of reconciliation.

According to him, if forgiveness truly needs to happen, Churchill is the one who deserves it after years of damaging narratives and public accusations.
In his words, he tweeted:
“Tonto is not the victim here. Yes, she forgave, but I think if anyone needs to forgive anyone here, it’s Churchill.
She might have been in the marriage, but I wish her forgiveness note was more detailed, especially in addressing the labels and tags. The stigma and reputation attached to that man will never be erased.”

Dotun acknowledged that Tonto was part of the marriage but criticised what he described as the lack of depth in her forgiveness message.
He stressed that it failed to address the long-term impact of the allegations made against Churchill and the damage they caused to his public image.
His statement has since sparked intense debate online. While some agreed with Dotun, saying Churchill’s reputation suffered irreversible damage, others defended Tonto, insisting forgiveness doesn’t require public explanations
Dotun concluded that forgiveness goes beyond words, especially when public stigma is involved.
