A Tiktoker has sparked a debate online after revealing that his choice of a life partner largely depends on his mother’s approval.
In a viral video, the man said
‘’If my mother doesn’t like you, we can’t get married, I am sorry. And to those of you men who marry women who don’t get along with your mother, I commend you but I can’t do it. Let me tell you what the issue is.
A lot of you do not trust your mother’s judgment. I wholeheartedly, completely trust my mother’s judgment. My approval of a woman or my consideration of a woman for marriage heavily hinges on what my mother thinks of her. That’s the woman who raised me and actively made me the man that I am today. There is nothing my mother has ever told me that has ever stirred me wrong in my life.
That is my criteria. A lot of you do not feel like that about your mother and that’s the problem and that’s okay”
