Actor Rudy Youngblood, best known for his role in Mel Gibson’s Oscar-nominated film Apocalypto, has been arrested in Texas on a substance-related charge, according to reports.
Youngblood was taken into custody on Thursday, January 22, on a warrant filed a day earlier in Bell County. He is currently being held at the Henderson County jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance in an amount between one and four grams. The offence is classified as a felony and carries a possible sentence of up to two years in prison, in addition to a fine of up to $10,000.
As of Friday morning, he remained in custody. Attempts to obtain further details from the arresting agency were ongoing at the time of reporting.

The arrest adds to a history of legal troubles for the actor. In October 2025, Youngblood was arrested on allegations of assault involving a family or household member by impeding breathing or circulation. He was also arrested for disorderly intoxication in Miami in 2017, though those charges were later dropped.
Youngblood rose to prominence for his portrayal of Jaguar Paw in Apocalypto and has since appeared in several projects, including The Haunting of Hell Hole Mine in 2023 and Dandelion Season in 2021. He was also cast in the period drama La Matadora last year and is reportedly attached to several upcoming projects.
