Social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) has come down hard on businessman BLord over his claim that he trademarked the name Ratel, describing the move as empty talk and a publicity stunt.
The backlash follows BLord’s warning to VDM to stop using the name, insisting that he has full ownership of the brand.
Reacting via his Instagram page, VDM dismissed the claim, questioning the absence of official documents to back it up.
“First things first, to show you how stupid a lot of you are and how dumb you are. Where is the certificate? Where is your acceptance letter?” VDM said.
VDM expressed shock that someone he described as knowledgeable in advertising and branding would make such a sensitive claim without providing proper proof.
“I did not believe that somebody like BLord that knows about advertising, that knows about branding, will foolish himself like this,” he added.
He went further to explain that while three names — Ratel, The Ratel, and Ratel NG were reportedly filed for trademark registration in September 2024, filing alone does not amount to ownership.
According to him, instead of protecting the brand, the controversy has only given Ratel more publicity than ever.
The video has since sparked massive reactions online, with many social media users siding with VDM and insisting that BLord should release the trademark documents if his claims are genuine.
For now, one major question remains unanswered: Where is the Ratel trademark certificate? Until the documents are made public, the debate between VeryDarkMan and BLord appears far from over.
