A close associate of late Afrobeat singer Destiny Boy has spoken out to address growing speculation surrounding the artiste’s passing, urging the public to refrain from spreading unverified information.
In a video shared online, the associate claimed that the singer had been battling an illness prior to his death and that efforts were made to manage his condition.

“I want to do this video before everyone starts spreading wrong information about what killed Destiny boy. Destiny boy had an illness he was managing, before he died, and everything possible was done but it was God’s wish he died. May God look after the son and family he left behind. Death is inevitable for everyone our prayer should be that we live a long and purposeful life.”
As of the time of filing this report, no official statement has been released by Destiny Boy’s family or management confirming the exact cause of death.
